Sabine Skiff · Sight Fishing

Fly fishing the Texas flats

Hunt tailing redfish in inches of water aboard a purpose-built skiff. Coaching for new fly anglers, technical water for the experienced.

The Experience

Pure visual fishing on Galveston's back lakes.

The Texas coast offers some of the most accessible saltwater sight fishing in the country. We pole shallow flats and back lakes looking for tailing and cruising redfish, with shots at black drum and the occasional speckled trout in skinny water.

Trips are designed for up to 2 anglers aboard a 2026 Sabine Skiff — a true technical poling skiff that floats in single digits of water. Whether you're picking up an 8-weight for the first time or you've been chasing tarpon for decades, the day is built around you.

  • Up to 2 anglers per skiff
  • On-water casting coaching
  • Flies tied for local water
  • Loaner 8-weight setups available
  • Bottled water & ice provided
  • Wade options when conditions allow
