What should I bring?

Polarized sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, non-marking shoes, and any snacks or drinks beyond water. A valid Texas fishing license is required if you plan to keep fish — we can advise on day passes.

Is equipment provided?

Yes. Premium rods, reels, terminal tackle, and bait are all included. For fly trips, loaner 8-weight setups are available if you don't have your own.

Are kids welcome?

Absolutely — some of our favorite trips are introducing kids to fishing. We tailor the pace, target species, and approach to make sure young anglers have a great first experience.

Question 4

Do I need a fishing license?

Anyone 17 or older needs a Texas saltwater (bay trips) or freshwater (Guadalupe) fishing license. One-day licenses are inexpensive and available online or at most sporting goods stores.

Question 5

What species will we target?

Galveston Bay: redfish, speckled trout, and flounder year-round (with seasonal variation). Guadalupe River: trout, primarily January and February. Colorado River: bass, sunfish, and other native species on float trips.

What happens if weather cancels the trip?

Accepted Answer

Safety comes first. If we have to cancel for weather, we'll reschedule at no charge or issue a full refund of any deposits — your choice.
